The Might In Spite
"She doesn't need to work at it, she's just good at what she does." That's a sad little fantasy you have there, thinking that just because someone is good at something, it means they don't have to work for it, that they didn't have to put any effort into what they did. It is magically, mathematically and logically impossible because no one is born 'just knowing'.There are things you need to sacrifice because you want this so bad. But it's not going to happen if you're just going to sit there, and dare I say it, whine. Wake up, we all go through phases where we feel we're just not good enough but that's no reason to belittle someone else's hard work. Stop assuming that you can't be just as good and start working on what you want. Refuse to allow self-pity and jealousy to rule your life and what you do because it's just annoying for the rest of us. Only you can decide how good you can be and who you will become. --------------------------------------------------------- Honestly, I don't know what you want from me. I refuse to be ashamed about my results because I did put effort into them, contrary to what you may believe. I don't rub it in your face. I don't belittle your efforts. Please, we're seventeen, not seven. If you want help, ask it. Don't go behind my back and tell everyone I don't study for the subject, and that it's 'useless' asking me to teach you. I'm just a student like you, I can try, but I can't make you want to do it. You need to want it too. Labels: Education, gripes, Thoughts |
